You will learn how to safely perform skin needling treatments, understand the wound healing process, maintain infection prevention and control standards, and evaluate treatment outcomes to achieve safe, effective and consistent results for your clients.

Following practical attendance, you will complete case studies and portfolio work within your own workplace, before undertaking final assessments to demonstrate occupational competence.

The learning option for this course is in-house learning, accompanied by online theory and self study away from class. Classes are held at our Llandudno training facility.
Theory material is delivered online via our training portal with supporting video tutorials demonstrating the practical elements of the course, before learners’ complete in-depth in-house practical sessions.
Following practical sessions, workbook and case studies are undertaken, marked by your tutor with feedback. Upon successful completion of this stage, in house assessment days are arranged to complete the portfolio of evidence for the course.

It is ideal for therapists who want to develop their clinical knowledge, refine their practical skills and demonstrate professional competence in one of the industry's most in-demand treatments.

This qualification is particularly suited to practitioners who recognise the changing direction of the aesthetics industry and want to future-proof their careers by gaining an Ofqual-regulated qualification. Whether you are expanding your treatment portfolio, strengthening your professional credibility or working towards meeting evolving licensing and regulatory expectations, this course provides the knowledge and practical competence to support your progression.
Learners must have previously completed and achieved an anatomy and physiology qualification at a minimum of Level 4, with a core knowledge of facial anatomy and experience of investigative consultations.
In circumstances where learners do not hold a formal qualification, but have a minimum of 2 years’ occupational experience, entry to the qualification may be considered subject to a centre interview, and review by Focus Awards of current knowledge, understanding and skills.

Learners should be committed to completing both the practical and theoretical elements of the qualification, including independent study and workplace case studies.
Learners must be 18 years of age or over and have a good standard of English, literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
