Course Description
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) is the entry level teaching qualification for individuals wanting an introduction to teaching in any post compulsory education setting such as further education or private learning organisations.

This qualification guides learners through the key concepts of Education and Training.​
​
During this course learners will undertake the theory element of the course via our online portal resulting in the completion of 3 assignments. They will then plan a 15 minute micro teach to be delivered via zoom before evaluating their teaching skills.
You can enrol on this course at any time, you have as long as you need to complete the theory assignments before booking your micro teach session.

This course is largely self-paced so a commitment to completing the assignment in a timely manner is required.
We offer this Ofqual regulated qualification through Focus Awards, this is a nationally recognised qualification.

The learning option for this course is fully online learning. Theory material is delivered online via our training portal, with full tutor support.
Following successful completion of the assignments, you will continue to plan and execute your 15 minute microteach session. This will be observed by your assessor virtually.

This qualification is for individuals who are new to teaching or training, or those who want to gain formal recognition for their existing skills in these areas.
It's suitable for those who work or aspire to work as teachers, trainers, or tutors in the post-16 education and training sector, including further education colleges, adult and community education, work-based learning, and the voluntary sector.

Learners must be over 19, with good english literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.​
