Information about these Terms & Conditions

North Wales Nail and Beauty Ltd is owned and operated by North Wales Nail and Beauty Ltd. (“We, Our, Us”) We are a company registered in England and Wales under company number 09903989 and with our registered office at 24 Brookes Street, Llandudno, LL30 2TT.

Where these terms and conditions use terms such as "you", "the learner", “learner”, “learners”, and "your" they refer to you the learner. 

1.0 Jurisdiction 

1.0 These terms and conditions shall be governed in accordance with English Law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.

2.0 Entire Agreement 

2.1 These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all preceding and contemporaneous agreements between you and us whether written or oral.

3.0 Course Advertisement

3.1 Our training courses are advertised online via www.northwalesnailandbeautytraining.co.uk, our authorised social media channels and those of our associated partners. North Wales Nail and Beauty Training is a trading name operated by North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd. All rights are reserved. 

4.0 Primary location of Training

4.1 Our primary training location is: North Wales Nail & Beauty Training Ltd, 24 Brookes Street, Llandudno, LL30 2TT. Any change of location will made by prior agreement. If the location is unavailable/unserviceable alternative arrangements will be made and participants informed with sufficient notice. 

5.0 Training Options

5.1 North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd offer a range of training options, they are identified and defined as:

‘Fully Online’ (FO) – Learning is completed solely online via our learning portal. Learners self-navigate through the learning material before submitting case study / evidence of work to be assessed. There is no specific tutor support for this option. Access to the learning portal Is valid for 6 months from the point of enrolment. 

‘In-House Blended’ (IH) - Theory Learning is completed online via our learning portal. Learners self-navigate through the learning material before their agreed training date at our venue. All online learning content must be 100% completed prior to attendance of training. Failure to do so may result in in-house training sessions being withheld. No responsibility is taken by North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd to ensure learners have completed learning material. Tutor support is provided with this option together with an In-House session. Access to the learning portal Is valid for 6 months from the point of purchase. 

6.0Course Information 

6.1 Course prices are subject to change without prior notice. Payment of course fees secure agreed price. 

6.2 North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd reserves the right to postpone courses should minimum numbers not be reached. All efforts will be made to give as much notice as possible. 

6.3 North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd reserves the right to decline course applicants without explanation. 

6.4 In the event of a course being cancelled by North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd, alternative dates may be offered or a refund issued. The liability of this is limited to the monies paid.

6.5 Course participants are expected to attend all agreed training dates & complete all tasks as requested by North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd as outlined at the beginning of the course. Failure to attend will result in all training monies being lost. 

6.6 It is the responsibility of the learner to ensure they have received and read e-mails sent to them regarding their course. No responsibility will be taken by North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd for information not received or read by learners. 

6.7 It is the responsibility of the learner to carry out patch tests where relevant on any models they supply and use during training. All patch testing requirements will be fully explained upon enrolment. Failure to comply with this will result in learners course places being withdrawn or postponed. 

6.8 Learners may be required to work on each other during their training and must be willing to give and receive treatments. Where models are required, this will be communicated to the learner and solely the responsibility of the learner. 

7.0 Online Training Portal

7.1 Upon booking a course, you will be automatically enrolled onto our online learning platform ‘Learning Resource Hub’ to access training material, online study, and demonstrations. It is the responsibility of the learner to familiarise and have the necessary equipment to access the online content.

7.2 It is the responsibility of the learner to undertake every section of training provided, before they will be permitted to move onto the next stage of training or undertake assessment. Failure to do so may result in practical training being refused and fees incurred by you. 

7.3 Fully online course details are available via our website prior to purchase, it is the responsibility of the learner to understand and accept what will be provided in terms of training material, kit requirements and assessment criteria.

7.4 Prices and accreditation may vary for our two learning options; Fully Online and In House Blended, it is the responsibility of the learner to fully understand this and communicate any queries prior to purchasing the course. 

7.5 Access to our learning portal is limited to 6 months from the date of enrolment. Further access can be purchased at an additional cost to the student. 

7.6 All courses use our online training platform for delivery of theory material. It is the responsibility of the learner to ensure they have a minimum entry level understanding of ICT to navigate the course. No responsibility is taken by North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd for learner’s inability to navigate our portal.

8.0 Course Bookings

8.1 All course bookings should be made via our website (www.northwalesnailandbeautytraining.co.uk) unless otherwise agreed by management. Where course bookings are invoiced, all payment must be made prior to students being enrolled onto our learning portal. Payment must be made with sufficient time for learners to complete their online learning prior to any practical training day where applicable.

8.2 Full payment is required at the point of booking (unless arranged separately via payment plan). Course payments are non-refundable and only transferable at the discretion of the management. Should a discretionary move be granted, this will be in line with scheduled course dates and will only be granted once. 

8.3 Course places cannot be held without the full course fee being paid (Unless arranged via payment plan). Course places are offered on a first come first serve basis. 

8.4 When course payments are received, automatic enrolment onto our online learning portal will occur within 48 hours. Enrolment provides full access to course materials and is considered as the course being undertaken by you. 

8.5 In-House Blended course bookings will receive an e-mail confirmation along with automatic enrolment within 48 hours confirming amongst other details, date, and time of in-house sessions. No responsibility will be held by North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd for information not received, failure to receive information should be communicated to us via e-mail. 

8.6 Cancellation of training courses will result in all monies lost, regardless of notice given. 

8.7 No responsibility is held by North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd to ensure receipts are issued. Should a receipt not be received, North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd should be notified within 24 hours. Receipts cannot be issued after this time.

8.8 We may not be able to accept your booking due to one or more of the following reasons, or for a reason not listed below:

I) The course you have purchased is unavailable

ii) We cannot authorise your payment or have reasonable grounds to suspect your payment may be fraudulent

iii) There has been a pricing or course description error

iv) There is a system or procurement failure

8.9 When completing checkout and purchase a course, you will receive an automatically generated website email confirming the details of your booking & payment. This email does not guarantee that your course booking has been accepted by us.

8.10 Your booking will only be accepted by us once enrolment onto our learning portal takes place.

8.11 Payment for and/or attendance at course do not guarantee a qualification, diploma, or certificate of achievement. These are gained by successful completion of the course assignments, assessments, and examinations to the satisfaction of your assessor. 

8.12 It is the responsibility of the learner to ensure the correct learning option is booked. No responsibility will be taken by North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd for incorrect bookings. Where alterative learning options are available, fees will apply to transfer between options. 

8.13 Where course bookings are made by an employer on behalf of an employee (or similar), North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd takes no responsibility to the learner to issue or reissue certificates directly to the learner. All certificates and agreements are solely held and issued to the employer. 

9.0 Refunds and Cancellations

9.1 All course payments are non-refundable and only transferable at the discretion of the management with more than 72 hours’ notice. Should a discretionary move be granted, this will be in line with scheduled course dates and will only be granted once. It is the responsibility of the course purchaser to ensure the chosen course and learning option is appropriate for the student. If you are unsure which course is suitable for you, please contact us prior to purchasing training. 

9.2 Cancelling a digital download - Digital downloads are not defined as a good or services and fall into the Consumer Contracts Regulations. Digital Downloads are instantly available, by agreeing to our terms and conditions you waive your right to the 14-day cooling off period. 

9.3 If you wish to cancel a course booking immediately after purchase, you must contact us within 24 hours to ascertain whether enrolment has taken place or not. Where enrolment has occurred, but progress is showing as 0% completed, cancellation minus any incurred costs may be issued at the discretion of the management. Undertaking of the online training via our learning portal (i.e. progress >0%) waives your right to a 14-day colling off period due to the online delivery element of our training. 

9.4 No-Shows, cancellations and rescheduling within 72 hours of group course date - Requests to reschedule group in house or virtual training within 72 hours of the training date will incur a fee of £79.00. All requests to reschedule will be at the discretion of the management and available training dates will be advised. Offers of rescheduled training must be confirmed and additional monies paid within 7 days. No-shows without any communication will forfeit all monies paid.

Should it not be possible to replicate training dates for group training, the cost of continuing training will be charged at a day rate of £195.00 and completed on a 1-2-1 basis. 

We cannot be held responsible for reasons outside of our control which may prevent you from attending your scheduled training, including but not limited to, transport issues and cancellations, adverse weather, childcare and ill health. Rescheduling without incurring additional charges can only be considered when more than 72 hours’ notice is given. By agreeing to our terms and conditions.

9.5 No-Shows, cancellations and rescheduling within 72 hours of 1-2-1 course dates - Requests to reschedule 1-2-1 in house or virtual training within 72 hours of the training date will incur a fee of £195.00. All requests to reschedule will be at the discretion of the management and available training dates will be advised. Offers of rescheduled training must be confirmed and additional monies paid within 7 days. No-shows without any communication will forfeit all monies paid.

We cannot be held responsible for reasons outside of our control which may prevent you from attending your scheduled training, including but not limited to, transport issues and cancellations, adverse weather, childcare and ill health. Rescheduling without incurring additional charges can only be considered when more than 72 hours’ notice is given. By agreeing to our terms and conditions.

All requests in relation to the above must be communicated by e-mail to: info@northwalesnailandbeautytraining.co.uk. Any exceptions to the above charges may require proof of the reason for non-attendance/late cancellation. 

9.6 Where kits are included in the course fee and have been dispatched, no refund and no responsibility are taken by North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd to buy back kits. It is the sole discretion of North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd should such arrangement be made. Any kits returned kits must be complete, unused, and unopened and will be subject to a 30% restocking fee.

9.7 Refunds for courses or kits will only be considered where there is clear evidence that the course or kit is either not as described, faulty or not received by the learner. All management decisions are final.

10.0 Learner Payment Plans 

10.1 Learner Payment Plans are available for selected accredited courses and regulated qualifications only, and are set out prior to booking and confirmation of course places by North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd.

10.2 Where a Learner Payment Plan is offered by North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd, it is the responsibility of the learner to ensure all payments are made on the agreed dates. Failure to make payment via the agreed method will result in training being withheld, delayed, or cancelled. 

10.3 Certificates will only be issued once all payments have been made. North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd reserve the right to withhold certification until all debts are settled. 

11.0 Homework / Home Study

11.1 Our courses provide an intensive learning programme and do include both practical and theory homework. Failure to complete the set tasks may result in you falling behind in your training programme and in some cases being unable to undertake the next stage of training. 

11.2 Homework requirements are set out in the course introduction section of our online portal. If you feel you may fall behind with homework, please speak to your trainer immediately so that a personalised plan can be actioned. 

11.3 As part of your homework you will be required to carry out services covered in class on live models. Homework sets cannot not be carried out on training hands/dummy heads etc. These are designed for additional practice to enhance learning,

11.4 You MUST complete and attend each session with the required homework completed to be able to progress on to the next stage of training. 

12.0 Assessment 

12.1 Our courses contain a variety of assessment methods. The assessment method for your chosen course will be outlined to you. North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd holds no responsibility towards the learner for completion of assessment. 

12.2 In House Blended assessments must be sat within 6 months from the last training date. Assessments after this time are at the trainer’s discretion. Arrangement of all assessments are the responsibility of the learner.

12.3 Fully Online case study submissions must be completed within 6 months. Assessments after this time are at the trainer’s discretion. 

12.4 The assessment format will be explained to you and is also detailed in the relevant section of your online material. 

12.5 Initial assessment cost are included in your course fee. Failed assessments will incur additional charges. (See Fees) 

12.6 Should assessment submissions not meet the outlined criteria of the course; you will be required to re-sit /resubmit evidence until the assessment criteria is satisfied. 

13.0 Kits 

13.1 Ownership of kits remain the property North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd until all monies have been paid in full. 

13.2 There is no responsibility North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd to buy back or refund any kits that been opened or used. It is the sole discretion of North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd should such arrangement be made. If agreed, kit returns will be subject to a 30% restocking fee. All kits must be returned complete, unused, and unopened. Returns will be processed following satisfaction of the condition of the returned items.

14.0 Accreditation Courses  

14.1 We use a variety of accrediting bodies for our accredited courses. It is the full responsibility of the learner to check before purchasing a training course that the accreditation is suitable for their requirements i.e., Insurance cover / course level / pre-requisite requirements.

14.2 Accredited certification will only be issued when all payments, case studies, practical & theory work have been undertaken and completed to the satisfaction of the tutor. In some cases there may be a delay in certification issue due to the payment method selected by the learner.

15.0 Regulated Qualifications 

15.1 Regulated Qualifications are offered by North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd via the Focus Awards. 

15.2 Learner Payment Plans are offered for regulated qualifications. By entering a Learner payment plan, learners must agree to all terms and conditions and make all payments on time. North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd reserve the right to withhold certificates if course fees are outstanding. 

15.3 Regulated Qualifications are offered in agreement of a learning and assessment plan. No responsibility is taken by North Wales Nail and Beauty Training for a learner’s failure to meet the requirements of such plan.

15.4 Learners enrolling on a regulated course with North Wales Nail and Beauty Training must agree to our Code of Conduct. Failure to agree may result in cancellation of course place and all monies forfeited. 

15.5 Learners may be subject to external verification as part of their sampling process. Learners may be required to attend our facility for the purposes of sampling control.

16.0 Insurance Cover

16.1 Insurance cover is not provided as part of any courses provided by North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd. It is the responsibility of the learner to arrange such cover before beginning to accept payments for services offered. No responsibility is accepted by North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd for learners not being insured.  

16.2 It is the sole responsibility of the leaner to check that insurers will cover courses with the accreditation provided. No responsibility will be taken for a learner’s insurers not covering any qualifications acquired.

16.3 It is strongly advised that the learner take out ‘student insurance’ when working on models during training. No responsibility is taken by North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd for claims made against students during training.

17.0 Fees

17.1 Accredited course certificates are issued via PDF following successful completion of all training requirements. Additional hard copy certificates can be requested at a charge of £5.00 per certificate. If you require lost or misplaced certificates to be reissued via email an admin fee of £5.00 will also be charged. 

17.2 All accredited courses are offered with 6 months access to our online learning platform from the date of enrolment. It is your responsibility to complete all training in this time frame. Additional access and course completion after this date will incur a charge of £35.00 for an additional 6-month access period.

17.3 Should you wish to change the learning option for the course you have purchased, this will be agreed at the discretion of the management. Where alternative course formats are available the costs will be outlined to you on an individual basis.

17.4 Failed practical assessments for accredited courses will incur an initial charge of £25.00. Any assessment thereafter or failure to attend arranged assessment date will incur a cost of £50.00. It is our aim that by working together and following the training programme that you pass your assessment first time.  

17.5 Missed or incomplete assessment days for regulated training will be charged at a rate of £100.00 per assessment day. 

18.0 Conduct 

18.1 North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd is an Equal Opportunities training provider and will tolerate any form of discrimination. Any forms of discrimination, verbal or physical violence will result in instant dismissal and potential legal action. 

18.2 In House Blended learners are expected to arrive in good time, ready to begin their training at the agreed start time. No responsibility is taken by North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd for late arrivals. Arrival later than 15 minutes after the agreed start time may result in the learner not being admitted onto the course. 

18.3 North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd is committed to meeting the needs of our learners. All additional needs should be disclosed at the point of enquiry, prior to booking to ensure these needs can be met. North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd takes no responsibility for additional needs not disclosed prior to booking. 

19.0 General 

19.1 North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd reserve the right to the design, text and graphics of all course material, handouts, website material and published literature under The Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. The use of any material for the purposes of reproduction including alteration, modification and redistribution is strictly prohibited. 

19.2 North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd is no smoking facility, learners are politely asked to stand well clear of the building for such activities. 

19.3 North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd is a responsible training provider, the way we collect, use, and store your data is closely monitored and can be accessed, corrected, and disposed in part at any point. 

19.4 North Wales Nail and Beauty Training Ltd takes no responsibility for the content of any external hyperlinks or website information given to learners. It is the responsibility of the learner to exercise due diligence.

19.5 Should any part-term or term be found to be unenforceable then the remainder of the terms and conditions shall continue to have full force and effect as if the invalidated term was not present.

19.6 Should any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these terms and conditions arise where it is beyond our reasonable control, we will not be responsible to you for such delay or failure nor liable for any loss that you incur, howsoever caused.
