Our Level 4 (Ofqual) Certificate in Dermaplaning, will provide you with extensive knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology, advanced investigative consultation and skin assessment skills and provide you with an in depth understanding of providing Dermaplaning Treatments to your clients.

Dermaplaning is a super effective, non invasive, painless treatment in which surface dead skin cells are manually scraped away using a sterile medical scalpel. Zero recovery time!

Dermaplaning removes the fine peach fuzz hair on the face. preventing the excess hair that traps oil and dirt which can lead to other complications on the skin.

Dermaplaning increases absorption of skincare products on the face by scraping away the dirt, oil and dead skin cells. Facial products and other salon treatments are much more effective because they can penetrate the skin more easily.

Dermaplaning does not pierce the skin or cause any trauma. Think of it this way…..the permanent makeup industry would not be what it is today if shaving made hair grow back thicker – we would all just shave our eyebrows for them to grow back fuller and darker…..but unfortunately this just doesn’t happen.

This course is comprised of 3 mandatory assessment units.

Unit 1 - Facial Anatomy and Physiology (Level 4)

The aim of the unit is to develop the knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology, specifically in the facial area, required for dermaplaning.

Unit 2 - Investigative Consultation And Skin Health Assessment (Level 4)

The aim of this unit is to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding required to carry out advanced skin assessments and investigative consultations.

Unit 3 - Provide Dermaplaning Treatments (Level 4)

The aim of this unit is to provide learners with the knowledge, skills and understanding to enable you to provide dermaplaning treatments in a safe and hygienic environment.

This course includes all course materials, equipment and models provided to complete case study work and assessments.

What does the course involve?

Students need to complete home study, assignments and attend the academy for their practical to pass this course.

Students will complete the theory of all units at home in their own time.

A manual and workbook will be sent to you to work through at your own pace, which will then be followed by assignments for each unit, this will become your portfolio of evidence.

You will then be invited for a day in-house at North Wales Nail & Beauty Training to complete your practical day of training.
